This is in Netolpitiya, which is in the Rakawe area, in Tangalle., which is in the south of Sri lanka. Tangalle was badly affected by the tsunami. When Mission Rainbow came to Sri lanka the first time, they visited the Rakawe village and saw the devastation and we all felt the need to help these people in this area. It is rather a remote village, but God is using His children to make a difference in this place. The Pre-school in this area has come about because Mission Rainbow came forward to assist us in the running of it.
There are tsunami affected children and also the children of the village. The children are from the ages of 2 years to 5 years. From the construction of the School building to the furniture, garden play items to all other supplies needed was given by Mission Rainbow. They continue to bless the school. Payment of wages for all employees to milk, vitamins, meals and all educational items needed for the school is been provided by them too. We thank our Heavenly Father for Mission Rainbow. These children are the poorest of poor and they didn't even have shoes on their feet and now they have uniforms, shoes, school bags, everything complete. They are truly blessed indeed. The teachers are doing a wonderful job and the children are spoken to in English and all manners are taught to them in English too. It is amazing how fast these children have picked up and they seem a happy lot there.
